Midthunder was born in New Shiprock Mexico. She is a member of the Assiniboine tribe of Fort Peck. She spent most of her childhood within Santa Fe where her mother was employed at a casting firm and attended the Academy for Technology and the Classics. Amber is of Native American ancestry on her father's side. Both of them are part of the Fort Peck Sioux Tribe. Amber's mother was adopted and so Amber is not sure of her mixed ancestry. Prey is a film that has an extensive Native American contingent, which includes Dakota Beavers in the role Naru's younger brother as well as Jhane MYERS who is a Comanche and Blackfeet producer who helped with the production extensively. Coco The animal actress who plays Sarii in the movie, was chosen for her special breed, that of the American Dingo. It is one the oldest breeds of dogs, also known by its other title, Carolina Dog.
TJ also conveys a different message. In the course of the film TJ describes how much Amanda loves him and that she's her everything (although it is possible to conclude that some of the narration was related to the daughter of Amanda). He expresses his love for Amanda, but she refused to accept him down because she was dating Daniel. Jack was later married Amanda Emily, and Emily was later able to reveal Emily's identity. From that point the two have been best buddies. They are married at the end of the series. Amanda kisses Wilf just before midnight. She is the only one who wins the pot.
